ATKINSON CLOCK TOWER

Atkinson Clock Tower is the most popular landmark of Kota Kinabalu and is the oldest structure in Sabah. Built in 1905, the tower was dedicated to the death of Francis George Atkinson, the first district officer of Jesselton town. Francis George Atkinson was British and had died of malaria which they called Borneo Fever at the time. In addition, the tower is measured at 50 feet or 15.24 meters. And therefore, Atkinson Clock Tower is an integral and vital piece of Kona Kinabalu, as it contains rich history and holds a good representation of British colonial architecture design, which tourists cannot afford to miss out on.
KOTA KINABALU CITY MOSQUE

The Kota Kinabalu City Mosque is the second major mosque built in Malaysia after the state Mosque. The site originated as a beach and seawater shoreline of Kampung Likas and preparation and construction started in July 1989 where it was then finally completed in March 1994 due to the financial problems it faced. Tourists and non-Muslims are able to visit the mosque except during prayers and must adhere to some rules to be respectful to people and culture such as dressing appropriately, bringing no food or water, acting politely etc. In addition, all visitors are required to register with the Kota Kinabalu Mosque Tourism Management before they visit. The mosque offers its history, its gorgeous scenery, and its splendid architecture for tourists to experience.
MOUNT KINABALU

Mount Kinabalu is the highest mountain in Malaysia. With an elevation of 13,435 feet (4,095 m), it is third-highest peak of an island on Earth, and 20th most prominent mountain in the world by topographic prominence. The mountain is located in Ranau district, West Coast Division of Sabah, Malaysia. It is protected as Kinabalu Park, a World Heritage Site.

The mountain and its surroundings are among the most important biological sites in the world, with between 5,000 and 6,000 species of plants, 326 species of birds, and more than 100 mammalian species identified. Among this rich collection of wildlife are famous species such as the gigantic Rafflesia plants and orangutans. Mount Kinabalu has been accorded UNESCO World Heritage status.
